How do you make your kitchen environment-friendly and waste-free? Check out these ideas!

  1. Compost: There is a way to get rid of all your kitchen waste and make your plants healthier! How? Use composting! All you need is a composting bin and kitchen waste (banana peels, leftover food etc.)

  2. Waste segregation: Try separating your waste into categories like – plastic-stuff bin, food waste (goes in the compost bin), paper bin, glass waste bin, e-waste bin (dispose of safely).

  3. Taps: Install low-flow fittings to taps.

  4. Install Solar water heaters

  5. Double Glazing on windows

  6. Switch to a better purifying system if you use RO. RO water (purified drinking water system) wastes water greatly. About 4 gallons is wasted per 1 gallon purified.

  7. Buy more seasonal food and locally produced food. Less transportation of goods means fewer emissions and pollution!

  8. Stop using tin foil, plastic-clear-wrap, paper towels, disposable cutlery and utensils and single-serve containers. There are many alternatives!
