An Eco-Friendly Bathroom

Writer: The EcoClub UnitedThe EcoClub United

  • Taps: Install low-flow taps and showers. They reduce water usage!

  • Use a solar water heater.

  • Use water instead of toilet paper. Small hand showers and bidets are better than toilet paper because they can be chemically treated and cleaned, but TP eats up most of our resources.

  •  Feminine hygiene products: Use the cloth type to reduce plastic waste.

  • Take a bucket bath.

  • If you can’t take a bucket bath, at least take short showers: Long showers are unnecessary and use too much water.

  • Do NOT use bathtubs, even on vacations, each bath uses about 80 litres of water!
